    This medication is used to treat severe cystic acne and that has not responded with other treatment.  they belongs to a class of drugs which  known as retinoids. It works by decreasing  oil (sebum) production o face . High amounts of oil  can lead to severe acne. If acne  left untreated, they  may cause permanent scarring.

    SHYAMOSA DRYMOSA contains Isotretinoin it is belongs to a group of medicines which is known as retinoids. which is used to treat skin problems like acne. Isotretinoin used to treat severe nodular type acne. It is only used in those patients whose acne has not treated with other treatments. It works by shrinking the oil and sebaceous, glands in the face and all over body . it is reduces the amount of oil which is produced naturally by skin and it is also kills the bacteria that cause acne and relieves redness.
    Severe nodular type acne is formation of red, swollen and tender lumps in the skin. If this was untreated it will leads to permanent scars. This medicine we can used in children and adolescents after 12 years of age and only after puberty. It must be used under the guidance of a Physician.
    SHYAMOSA DRYMOSA works by shrinking the oil and sebaceous glands in the skin. This will reduces the amount of oil that is produced . it is reduces the amount of oil which is produced naturally by skin and it is also kills the bacteria that cause acne and relieves redness. this medicine is directed by your physician. you can take with or without food. Do not take this medicine when you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding. Please Consult doctor for advice.

    • HOW TO USE : Take this medicine as directed by your physician. It can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you depending upon your condition. Swallow this medicine as whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or suck the medicine.

    Isotretinoin is indicated for the treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne. isotretinoin should be reserved for patients with severe nodular acne who are unresponsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics. In addition,  isotretinoin is indicated only for those female patients who are not pregnant.  A single course of therapy for 15 to 20 weeks has been shown to result in complete and prolonged remission of disease in many patients. If a second course of therapy is needed, it should not be initiated until at least 8 weeks after completion of the first course, because experience has shown that patients may continue to improve while off  isotretinoin.

    PRECAUTIONS

    • Side effects: isotretinoin are similar to those described in patients taking very high doses of vitamin A (dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, eg, of the lips, nasal passage, and eyes). 

    Drug Interactions: Talk to your doctor, if you are taking,

    • Tetracyclines antibiotics
    • Vitamin A supplements
    • Progestin-only birth control pills (mini-pills)
    • Medicines used to prevent epilepsy or seizures (e.g. phenytoin)
    • Medicines used to treat mental problems (e.g. st John’s wort)
    • Corticosteroid medicine. 
    • Pregnancy: During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. It may harm an unborn baby. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. 
    • Lactation: It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. 
    • Overdosage: If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing. Consult your Doctor As Soon As possible.
